Hello! My name is TJ Weger, and I'll admit it: I'm a fool for the steel guitar. Whether it's resonator, electric lap-steel, pedal steel or slide guitar. It can sound greeezy and lowdown playing Delta blues on a biscuit reso with a glass slide. It can sound sweet and ethereal playing Hawai'ian on a Rickenbacker 'frypan.' It can sound "downhome" playing bluegrass or country. It's an incredibly expressive and wonderful instrument with unlimited possibilities.
I play solo using lap-steel, tricone and biscuit resonators, and of course, some regular acoustic guitar. Sometimes I even throw in a ukulele song or two, just for fun. I do an extremely wide variety of styles and genres to keep it interesting for both the audience and me!
All the recordings you hear here are exactly how I sound playing live. I employ a BOSS RC-2 looper on some, but not all tunes (I do not use backing tracks), so everything can be spontaneous and changed as the need arises.
