-—————————————————
The mountain stood above all there was in the world
High above the clouds that hide the sun
And the man said "If I climb that mountain in the sky
My striving for perfection will be done

But when he reached the top he said
“I’ve scaled this mountain – I’m on top of the world
But now I see that I am yet another grain of sand
All that I try to do and all that I try to be
It just gets swallowed up in the power of Your hand”

The king, he was sitting on his lofty royal throne
And the earth stood at the whim of his staff
But then he died and faced a Power much greater than his own
And God said, “I gave you all you had”

And the king cried out
“You made these mountains and you made this world
And now I see that I am just another grain of sand
All that I tried to do and all that I tried to be
It just got swallowed up in the power of Your hand”

No matter what we pretend
Or what we pretend to know
Nevermind our mundane height
It’s there but for the grace of God we go
In the end we’ll all come to see
Just Who designs and who’s the plan
Then in awe we’ll all bow down
To the power of Your hand

I'm not much for religion, but your song still has a good number of themes I can relate to. One being the feeling that, in comparison to the size and magnitude of the universe, we are so small and our accomplishments do very little beyond our gravestone.
