Kwah is Rory Gordziejko. A musician originally from Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, and now based in Liverpool. Rory's frist instrument is trumpet, and he started his musical career in a junior brass band, from 1998 to 2005. during this time he also learned to play guitar, and spent a few years setting up wanky adolescent rock bands. At the age of 16 Rory joined the band 'Owter Zeds' and discovered ska music. This changed his life for ever. Spending from 2004 to the present day in the Owter zeds allowed Rory to develop his improvisation and knowledge of ska and reggae that underpins all of his music. Shortly after joining the Owter Zeds Herbivore was a key member of The Committee, a very popular ska band with the Hebden Bridge yoot. He also ran the Committee's highly successful trades club ska nights. From the age of 17, when he got his first computer, Rory has been dabbling with electronic production. Learning the basics on Reason, then moving through Cubase and Logic, Rory has picked up production influences from a variety of sources, although learned most of his techniques at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Rory also spent a lot of his time over the last 3 years immersing himself in specific types of dance music, such as psytrance, breaks and digidub. In 2006-07 Rory was a member of Loca, an acid-jazz-psychedelic-rock band who were signed to the Ninja Tune label, until the band split after the Canadian tour of 2007. Today Rory is a member of various bands. Subsound Alliance is a Liverpool based roots reggae band currently gigging around the North of England. he is also a member of Hapytap, and experimental psychadelic jazz pop band based in Liverpool. He is of course also a member of the Owter zeds and the Committee, still spreading the love and ska from Hebden Bridge. All of these things have contributed to the music you find on this page. Enjoy. Peace and Love.
