Song description

Written and recorded 10/5/10. Recorded on iPhone.

I've stars atop my bedroom ceiling
From when I was younger and dreaming
About the cosmo's and vast darkness
I didn't yet know of our insignificance

If we were an inch left or to the right
We'd either be frozen, or on fire all night
But we are not, we are always just right
With the stars on my ceiling, my nightlight

When the inevitable meteor crashes into the ocean
My bedroom will shake, a tumultuous commotion
We will disintegrate like the T-rex
Sewn so nicely on my pillow case

The stars that twinkle from above on my ceiling
Have long since died, but I still think that they're alive
Orion's belt shimmers down on my own eyes
They've travelled hundreds and thousands of years to keep me awake
