Charly Lopez is the founder of THE ELECTRIC STORM, music band created in 2000, in the style of Rock, Hard Rock and Blues Rock.
Charly Lopez was the singer of one of the most important Classic Heavy Rock bands from Uruguay, South America called ALVACAST. From 1985 to 1994 Charly recorded 4 CD's with Alvacast and 1 video clip. In 1992 Charly moves from Montevideo, Uruguay to Montreal, Canada. Alvacast played the Montreal circuit until 1994, year of their separation. In 1995 Charly enters Up The Irons, an Iron Maiden tribute band that became the most popular in Canada. In 2000 Charly formed The Carlos Lopez Band playing the Montreal circuit until 2005. At the same time in 2005, Charly was hired to sing in the album called "Tears for the Dead Gods" from the band of the same name. This album was released in the US under the label Gaia Records. Tears for the Dead Gods opened for Belladona (ex-Anthrax) in his Montreal gig. Right after the recording of "Tears..." in 2005 Charly moved to Costa Rica where starts playing solo. A few months later, Charly met Canadian guitarrist Dave Nelson, German bass player Matthias Wiedel and Dutch drummer Hans Veeken. Now he had musicians to porsue his Carlos Lopez Band. After a while, the name of the band was changed to "The Storm" to finally call themselves "The Electric Storm".
